JAHBAFANA Venezuela
It is a band of Reggae Roots born in Caracas in 1998. Its name means Boys of God, and its more representative phrase is “… all alive it is a single being”, which gives a sample us of the mystical message of its music. They were born in 1994 like Majestic Ruler, but in 1998 they decide to finish with this project to give birth to Jahbafana. Between its more outstanding activities it is the concert that offered in 2002 next to Michael Rose, when this it acted in Venezuela.
In February of 2005 they present/display his first production, co-produced by the Afroamérica Foundation. With this work they manage to represent Venezuela in the First Rastafari Summit of the celebrated Hispanic Diáspora at the end of May of 2005 in Panama. In the 2008 second production goes out his, Amen, where they leave again patents his work in the search of identity, the rescue by his roots and the diffusion of African the musical and spiritual inheritance. The disc counts on diverse collaborations, between which it emphasizes the one of Kwesi Signal lantern Johnson, all a guarantee of social commitment.
