IT ALERTS KAMARADA Colombia This band is born in Bogota in 1996. During his first years the local circuits of Bogota and their environs appear in, trying to lay way within reggae Colombian. In year 2001 they record his first demo, that presents/displays in Radio Progress, Havana, Cuba; and paralelamente in the department of the Putumayo, Mocoa and Asis Port, through radio station RCN. During a trip to the Caribbean islands of Colombia, Providence and San Andres, make contact with enemy with the Rastafari culture, and so they initiate a new creative stage. They decide to form its own record seal, Natarajah, and to self-manage its projects. The 13 of December of the 2002 send their first single with great success, reason why they are chosen by the Shockpor magazine like the best group of Colombian Reggae, award that they will also obtain in the 2003, 2004 and 2005. In the 2003 they are invited to 19th Latin Film Festival of Chicago to represent Colombia in the inaugural celebration. From return to Bogota they record its first LP, that later mixes in Miami. That same year they participate in important presentations like the one of the Rastazo (the festival of Reggae and ska of Colombia), or 9º edition from Rock to the Park before near 40,000 people. In February of the 2004 they present/display its first titled LP Alert, and participate in 1ª Edition of the Festival Reggae Colombia. Its video Alert is chosen like the best video of a not 2005 in the Video Prizes Much Music. One of his more important presentations was the one that realized in the prestigious European festival of Reggae Rototom Sunsplash 2004, in Italy, where they achieved a success like allowed them to realize a tour of concerts by Italy. also this year they appear in Guadalajara, Mexico. In the 2005 they present/display We are One album recorded in Bogota, but mixed in Kingston, Jamaica, where they as much received a great support for its disc as for the diffusion of its music, that sounds in local radios and is used by different Sound Systems. In January of the 2006, they send to the market its work with an important success; also they participate in the libertario Concert To return To see to us, by the life and the freedom of the kidnapped ones in Colombia. In Jamaica it participates in the festival Reggae SunSplash with very good critics. Also they realize a Self-sustaining tour by California and Tijuana, acting in important cultural events like the Day of the Earth in San Diego. At the moment the band this renewed and with many projects, as the Special Edition of the album We are One celebrating its 10 years of life, distributed by Universal Music for Latin America, and the work in its new Hot album.
